Emmett Hayes
Roseville's Premier Vocal Coach
Emmett Hayes is a highly experienced Roseville vocal coach with a rich background in the music industry. His career has taken him from performing on renowned stages to coaching singers who have achieved significant success in the entertainment world.
From Boyband Beginnings to American Idol Stardom
Emmett’s passion for singing began at the age of 8, sparked by Michael Jackson’s "Thriller." As a product of the early 2000s boyband craze, he became the lead vocalist of a group formed through a Sacramento radio station. The band toured California, sharing the stage with artists like Tiffany ("I Think We’re Alone Now") and Hilary Duff. After the band disbanded, Emmett launched a solo career, opening for artists like Brie Larson, performing at Madison Square Garden, and touring the West Coast at high-profile events and venues, including SeaWorld. His big break came when he became a finalist on American Idol, leading to connections with producers and record labels.
Mastering the Art of Vocal Technique
Faced with vocal challenges early in his career, Emmett sought advanced training to expand his vocal range and refine his technique. He trained extensively in Los Angeles, studying a method that combines classical Bel Canto principles with techniques designed for popular music. This approach, used by legends like Stevie Wonder, Barbra Streisand, and Michael Jackson, allowed Emmett to overcome his vocal limitations. After a decade of perfecting these voice techniques, Emmett began teaching out of a small apartment in Rocklin, CA. His reputation grew rapidly, leading to the opening of three studio locations across Sacramento. Emmett has since trained hundreds of students, produced numerous concerts, and led workshops that have helped his students achieve remarkable success, including performances at Disneyland, Six Flags, and appearances on shows like American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and X Factor. His coaching expertise has been featured on Good Day Sacramento and FOX 40, and he has worked with stars such as Zendaya, Jason Brock, LaToya London, and rising social media influencers like Jessica Baio and Dylan Conrique.
TV Success and Industry Impact
Beyond vocal coaching, Emmett has made a significant mark in the television industry, leveraging his connections to become a casting producer for major networks like FOX, Disney Channel, Disney+, ABC, and NBC. Over seven years, he scouted top talent for numerous shows, helping to shape the next generation of stars. As a talent himself, Emmett has appeared on various television platforms, including Tubi, Peacock, and the Travel Channel. He has shared the screen with Demi Lovato on a TV special and performed alongside his parrot on Sarah Silverman’s "Stupid Pet Tricks" on TBS. Emmett’s versatile talent has also led to features on Bravo and Discovery+, showcasing his wide-ranging abilities as both a performer and coach. His television work, combined with his industry expertise, has solidified his reputation as a multi-faceted talent in the entertainment world.
