About the event
Workshop #1: Write It
3:00–4:30 PM | Songwriting Fundamentals
If songwriting usually means a phone full of voice memos, unfinished lyrics, half-written choruses, or ideas you never quite know how to develop, this workshop is for you.
Jess will break down the songwriting process, including song structure, lyrics, melody, hooks, storytelling, and ways to move through creative blocks. You’ll learn how the pieces of a song work together, how to develop an idea instead of abandoning it, and how to make stronger songwriting choices when something isn’t working.
By the end of the songwriting workshop, you’ll have a clearer process for getting from “I have an idea” to “I know how to build and finish this song.”
